Twinning for the Strengthening of the Moroccan Water and Forest Agency

Morocco

FIAP participates as a junior partner in the European twinning project supporting the National Agency for Water and Forests (ANEF) of Morocco, led by France, with Italy also as a junior partner.

The project has a total budget of €1,250,000 and a duration of 36 months.

FIAP implements this project through the Environmental and Water Agency of Andalusia (AMAYA), acting as the junior twinned institution under the Government of Andalusia (Junta de Andalucía), with the support of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITEco) and the Regional Government of Galicia (Xunta de Galicia).

The project aims to contribute to the development of a new inclusive and sustainable forest resource management model in Morocco, establishing new governance and co-responsibility mechanisms through institutional and functional reorganization support for ANEF, within a regulatory framework aligned with Morocco's 2020-2030 Forestry Strategy.
